Assignment: Design a logotype and apply it to a one-page resume to present professional experience and other qualifications. This was an introductory project assignment meant to teach typefaces, captialization, legibility and position.

With this logotype and resume, I wanted to be able to display my experience while expressing some of the factors and descriptors I hope to reflect in my professional career; open, professional, creative, unique, and structured. I chose this persona for my branding due to my aspirations to work in the public relations field preferrably in non-profit or sport media, which prompted the straightforward and almost elegant style of my logotype and resume.

While I have done multiple attempts at my own branding before I knew that I wanted this to have the same neutral, elegant and structured that I have always been aiming for. When I began sketching out my logotype I knew that I wanted to keep along the same lines as previous tries, if possible, but I also wanted to build something new. This prompted a total of 11 sketches that gave me a mix of everything I wanted. I didn’t want to just focus on the past either, I let my imagination run and pulled inspiration where I could. My final decision for my logotype came as a result of review, peer and otherwise.
